Dr Sudheer Talari graduated from NTR University of Health Sciences in 2007 and has been practising medicine in Australia since 2009.
He has worked within the Gawler community since 2017 and obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2018.
Dr Talari has developed particular experience in work-related injury management, aged care and sports injuries, alongside broad experience across general practice.
Dr Talari has broad interests across general practice, with particular interests in the following areas.
His broader clinical interests include children's health, men's health, older adult health, chronic disease management, mental health, preventative health, pain management and sexual health.
Dr Talari has particular experience in the assessment and management of work-related injuries and has developed a strong understanding of occupational injury care and the WorkCover system.
He also provides medical assessments, including pre-employment medicals, and works with patients to support appropriate treatment, recovery and return-to-work planning where required.
Dr Talari has experience assessing and managing sporting injuries and previously served as team doctor for the Central District Football Club for approximately 18 months.
This experience complements his broader interest in sports and work-related injury management.
Aged care is an important area of Dr Talari's practice. He is involved in providing ongoing healthcare to residents of residential aged-care facilities and enjoys supporting older patients with their changing healthcare needs.
Dr Talari is actively involved in medical education and GP registrar supervision. He has experience training and mentoring recently graduated doctors and International Medical Graduates as they develop their skills in Australian general practice.
He has also contributed to educational activities for practising GPs and GP registrars through his role as an RACGP Education Activity Representative.
Dr Talari is comfortable conducting medical consultations in English, Telugu and Hindi.
Outside of medicine, Dr Talari enjoys playing cricket and has a strong interest in business and entrepreneurship. He is also actively involved in community work.
